Construction Progress
There’s been some exciting progress happening onsite at The Works. In our new episode of Behind the Bricks, we’re joined by our construction partners, Growthbuilt, to take you behind the scenes and show how the community is coming to life.
With bulk earthworks complete, we’re now seeing the start of podium works above each of the basements in Stage 1. The apartment towers will soon be taking shape as concrete work progresses and there will be plenty of action from the new tower cranes. It’s incredible to see the momentum building day by day!

Just Announced: Double Glazing Included on all Apartment Windows & Doors
We are pleased to share an important construction update at The Works. Legacy Property can now confirm that double glazing will be installed to all Stage 1 apartment windows and doors as a standard inclusion at no additional charge.
Double glazing offers significant advantages for apartment living by creating a more comfortable, quiet, and energy-efficient home. Key benefits of double glazing include:
- Lower Energy Bills: By creating an insulated barrier with trapped gas between two panes of glass, heat transfer is minimised. This keeps apartments warmer in winter and cooler in summer, potentially reducing energy bills by up to 20% or more.
- UV Protection: Double glazing can help block harmful UV rays, protecting furniture and flooring from fading.

First Buyers Event
Earlier this month we hosted a special onsite event and tour of the Stage 1 construction progress for our first purchasers. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring together the first members of the new community and celebrate the exciting future ahead.
Buyers enjoyed lunch together, walked the new roads and received the latest development update from the team. When asked about their decision for purchasing at The Works, it was the sense of community, 5 Star Greenstar benefits and easy access to transport, shops and the beach which were the main reasons.
We look forward to sharing more updates with our buyers and the broader community as The Works continues to take shape.
Construction Powers Ahead
We’re thrilled to share the latest update from The Works, where construction is powering ahead:
- Stage 1 roads and drainage are nearing completion, setting the foundation for a connected community.
- Growthbuilt is firmly established onsite, with work underway in both basements.
- Two piling rigs are hard at work, driving foundation piling to support the future towers.
- Basement floor slabs are scheduled to commence before year-end, alongside the installation of tower cranes – a major milestone that signals vertical progress.

Finally, you will hear from the Director of DKO Architects about what inspired the vision of the design for The Works. Opening this important site to both residents and the public has motivated them to create a unique masterplan which respects the past for all to enjoy into the future.

Legacy Property is pleased to announce the appointment of Growthbuilt as the construction partner for the highly anticipated development, The Works Corrimal. Growthbuilt is no stranger to the region having been appointed to build the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Shell Cove; St Luke’s Village, Dapto; Steelworks Hotel, Port Kembla and Kiama Village.

Bellambi Neighbourhood Centre
The Works is proud to support the Bellambi Neighbourhood Centre (BNC) in its invaluable community initiatives. This year we have been delighted to support their weekly Breakfast Club as well as their recent NAIDOC Week event celebrating the culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People in the Illawarra. We are also excited to support and be part of their upcoming Children’s Week event in October. For over 40 years, BNC has served as a central hub for the community, providing a welcoming space for people to meet, share, play, learn, and grow.
